Ship stuff

My room / closet. Could be worse...

Harpers Ferry (large one on the left) in port with USS Crommelin ( far left) and USS Chafee (far right). This is our destroyer squadron accompaniment. They might be small, but their weapons are something else. Plus, Chafee is a Guided Missle Destroyer so it sports SPY-1, TLAM, and AEGIS. Yikes.

Third night in Brunei

After work we decided to visit an amusement park in Jerudong which was supposed to be the larger than Disney Hong Kong. The park, we found out upon arrival, facing budgetary issues in 2006 was forced to disassemble it's rollercoasters and abandon a majority of the land. Consequently, most of the park was completely empty; full of weeds, insects, and had no lighting. It was foggy and dark and reminded me of a scary movie- I loved it. At one point I went to set my camera down to try and get a picture of everything when I noticed the rail I was about to use was moving. I took a flash picture to see why: it was covered with big, red fire-ants. I am glad I decided to investigate before leaning on it.
We stumbled upon some functioning go-karts, although only two worked so we had to take turns racing each other. Creepy looking.

I'm certainly not starving
